The nitty gritty
It currently takes me five to nine business days to hand make your custom tags. Once made, I will send your tags out the next day, and you will receive an email notifying you that your tags have shipped. My standard shipping method is untracked Canada Post Letter Mail services to cut down on shipping costs to you, unless you select the tracked shipping option at checkout.
If you do not upgrade your shipping at checkout to tracked, there is nothing I can do for you once your tags have been dropped off at the post office. So please do consider upgrading to tracked shipping so that you can follow your tags' journey and receive them in a timely manner.
This is especially true due to COVID-19, as packages have been taking much longer to reach their destinations than normal. For within Ontario, the approximate shipping time for untracked packages has been three to 28 business days. For Canada-wide, the approximate shipping time for untracked packages has been five to 32 business days. For the USA, the approximate shipping time for untracked packages has been seven to 35 business days. For everywhere else internationally, the approximate shipping time for untracked packages has been nine to 40 business days.
Your tags will be sent in a completely compostable mailer, with fully compostable and/or recyclable packaging. Woo-hoo for eco-friendly!
Returns and Refunds
I take so much pride in my products, so I want you to be happy with your tags too. As long as I haven't already begun making your tag, you can definitely reach out to me to change your chosen design or order, or cancel for a full refund.
Due to the custom nature of my tags, I cannot offer returns. If you are for any reason dissatisfied with your tag, please shoot me a message so that I can make it right in some other way.
I am proud to offer a lifetime warranty on all my Little Striped Fox tags for any damage to your tag that renders it unusable or to not function as originally intended. This includes bent tags that will not sit flat, if the metal tag itself breaks, or any unreadable information.
My tags come preassembled with strong split rings able to generally withstand around 40 lbs of tension for my large tags and around 30 lbs of tension for my small tags. But for the safety of your pet, these split rings do release. I cannot refund you for lost or stolen tags, but please do contact me and I will be happy to offer you a discount to replace it.
If the ink in your tag's impressions ever fade, just send me a message and I will give you my mailing address for you to mail your tags back, and I will fix your tags to look brand new - for free! You just pay shipping.
If you'd rather a quick at home fix, you can easily touch up your tags with just some rubbing alcohol, an old cotton shirt rag (or paper towel), and a Sharpie marker. First, completely colour in all the impressions with your marker. Then, dip your cotton cloth into the rubbing alcohol until lightly saturated. Finally, gently rub the cloth in a circular motion on the tag to remove the excess marker. Repeat as needed until only the impressions have ink.
